HLFF Inspiring Minds
The HLFF Inspiring Minds project is a collaboration between the Heidelberg Laureate Forum Foundation and the MCI – The Entrepreneurial School® and is dedicated exclusively to supporting all HLF alumni in developing their personal career paths in mathematics and computer science. The activities are bundled on the HLFF Inspiring Minds platform, where the HLF alumni get the unique opportunity to interact and build meaningful relationships with laureates and experts from academia, business and industry. One of the main objectives is providing expertise and guidance through an expert mentoring program. In addition to that, the project offers a range of engaging digital formats adressing topics such as career building, diversity and personal development as well as social and professional skills.
All HLF alumni can join the platform via AlumNode: https://alumnode.org/groups/45/

HLFF Inspiring Minds Expert Mentoring
Mentoring is a fundamental part of the professional and personal development of young talents. Mentees receive the opportunity to expand their professional network, enhance their skills and discuss their future career steps with an expert from business and/or academia. Each mentoring pair spends four to six months together working on individually set goals. The first round of the HLFF Inspiring Minds Expert Mentoring Program launched January 2023. A new round of mentoring takes place every year and is open to applications from all HLF alumni.

Within these formats, leading experts from academia and business have the opportunity to share their experience and knowledge with the HLF alumni. The project focuses on three different formats:
Inspiring Talks
Within this format, outstanding personalities from the fields of mathematics and computer science share inspirational experiences, ideas and topics of interest with the HLF alumni. These Inspiring Talks are thought-provoking as well as entertaining, with less of a scientific focus. The themes may be linked to personal experience, current events, global news and developments that impact society.Learn More About …
Personal and professional development are an essential part of building one‘s career. The informative Learn More About… format focuses on expanding the competences of the HLF alumni. Topics can vary from soft skills and methods like design thinking or project management to diversity and empowering women in STEM.Ask Me Anything
Ask Me Anything is an interactive format where experts from academia and business in the fields of mathematics and computer science offer the valuable opportunity for the HLF alumni to learn from their personal experience. The experts choose a specific topic of focus and answer questions posed by the HLF alumni.
